Reset a 7940/7960 IP phone from cisco
To reset a IP phone 7960/7940 from cisco (if you have a static ip configured a broken firmware load..) use this prozedure:
Plug out the network cable (and the power also if you don’t use POE)
Hold down the # key
Plug in the Network (for POE) or only the Power Cable
Than wait for “Reset to factoy defaults”
Release the # key and press 123456789*0#
than the phone resets..
