Irix Tipps and Tricks
Just for me, but perhaps for somebody else.
If you find this useful, use it, but without waranty.
This page is just because I have to “learn” to manage an Irix box.
Install Software:
use inst
oder tardist, if you have a tardist file.
Freeware Software.
You can find a lot of freeware software for IRIX here.
The first thing I installed was the BASH. Because I want to use my Tab Key 
Usefull Commands:
| /sbin/hinv | this shows the Hardware information, memory, CPUs and so on |
| /usr/sbin/versions | to list the verions and patches installed on the system |
